AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS

Leave bandage on for a hour and a half.

  1. Before removing bandage, wash hands with antibacterial soap and warm water.

  2. Remove bandage and wash tattoo with antibacterial soap and warm water. Be sure to wash off all excess plasma (cleary slimey layer) that sits on top of your tattoo. If not your tattoo will scab up much more than it needs to and take longer to heal.

  3. Pat dry with a clean paper towel, wait 10 minutes, pat dry again with clean paper towel.

  4. Never bandage again.

  5. For the first night continue to wash off any plasma that appears on the surface of the tattoo.

  6. The following day wash your tattoo off again with antibacterial soap and warm water. Do not use a rag or towel, only your hand. You should wash your tattoo off once in the morning and once in the afternoon. After cleaning your tattoo be sure to pat it dry. Once dry, apply a small amount of non-scented lotion.

  7. Avoid soaking tattoo in any water. The only exception is showing. Get in and get out.

  8. Avoided both direct sunlight and tanning beds.

  9. When scabs form do not pick at them. Picking at scabs will cause your tattoo to heal improperly and in some cases cause keloid scarring.

  10. Continue to clean your tattoo with antibacterial soap and warm water twice a day followed by applying non-scented lotion until your tattoo is completely healed.

  11. Most tattoos take 2-4 weeks to completely heal. Everyone is different and every tattoo is different, please be patient and follow these instructions until your tattoo is healed.

Pro Tip: It's important to protect your tattoo from the sun during the healing process and after your tattoo is healed. The only thing that can cause harm to your tattoo after the tattoo is healed is the sun. Apply sunblock to your tattoo when you plan to spend extended periods of time in the sun. This will keep your tattoo looking fresh for many more years.

Tattoo aftercare is the most important part of the tattoo process. We make sure your tattoo looks good when you leave and it's your responsibility to make sure it stays that way. If there are any questions about what you should or shouldn't do, feel free to ask your artist for their advice.
